In the glass light yellow, in the nose with strong notes of pears and passion fruit. Nice fruity in the mouth, slightly bitter with a fine acidity.
The grape variety Passerina is one of the oldest grape varieties in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It has a strong acidity during early grape harvest and is therefore often popular for making spumante. Passerina belongs to the variety of noble grapevine.
The vintage of Torri Cantine for this particular grape takes place manually in the period between the 5th and the 15th of October in the vineyards of Controguerra. This location gives the grapes the best thematic conditions, which together with the organic cultivars, enhance the typical flavors of Passerina grapes.
